They Bleed

(Watch with headphones)

A video poem exploring the concept of sustaining - an idea brought into singular focus during the pandemic.

Horsehair

An experimental video poem exploring my personal philosophy regarding the relationship between fate and free will. The horsehair worm is a parasitic animal that controls its host insect’s brain, causing the host to drown itself and free the parasite inside. Horsehair explores and merges multiple themes including spirituality, mythology, biology, science-fiction, innocence, and transcendence.

The Skies Have Eyes

An epistolary video poem about the moments leading up to and the moments after the birth of a child.

At the Shores of the Great Silence

The documentation of a process of biomythography examining the lives of my female ancestors. Their lives were all vastly different. However, these women all have one common attribute as my direct ancestors; they are also mothers to my sons.

So It Will Be

An exploration of legacy, history, autobiography, the archiving of the self, and memory through the stories of the artist's relatives Ona Mahitta Rounds and Robert Lewis McNally, and the artist herself.

Ruminations

A quasi-interactive, experimental, personal documentary that explores the intersections of individual and collective memory through dual-layers of subjectivity and an interactive interface.

To Whom It May Concern

A poetic direct address to the artist's unborn child about the complicated world and life into which he is soon to be entering.

Pilgrim

A meditation on Carl Jung's archetypal 'pilgrimage' as a journey through time and space back to the Self, this work reflects the artist's process of filmmaking as its own type of pilgrimage - work as a means to identity.

Dead Woman

Enacting the fading of women from history through the submerging of a piece of cloth, this piece is a eulogy for all women who are now lost through the vastness of time.

Many Ghosts

A meditation on objects that represent memories from the artist's home reflecting on memory, absence, and ultimately death.

Et Excipes Hanc Animam Ore Pio

How does memory site alteration affect those who remember it? Does the location store the memory or do we? This piece is a meditation on the relationships the filmmaker's father and she have with the deteriorating farm on which they both grew up.

Right Into You I Will Glow

Originally designed to act as a representation of divine feminine nature, this piece's true context came along with the discovery of the infidelity of the artist's husband. It features representative paintings as well as a meditation on objects from home, the artist's body, and her fleeing from both.

More work coming soon.
